Not Abstract Comics
Comicing has been a little slow as of late, because I've been busy being a Dad for the first time (x2!)
I have run out of my buffer on comics to post and I am working (slowly) on them, while feeding, changing and loving on two infants.

Oh well.
We didn't win, Popgun won, and Douglas Wolk explains why, and what we did right after all:
Popgun has more ties to the Eisner-voting scene, but Abstract Comics deserves special commendation: Molotiu has effectively pieced together a whole new subgenre.
Well, yeah. There's that.

Abstract Comics signings at San Diego Comic Con
I will be signing and doodling copies of "Abstract Comics" (which, as you recall, is up for an Eisner award for best anthology, to be awarded Friday night), as well as of my own book, "Nautilus," this weekend at the Fantagraphics table at the San Diego Comic Con. Here is my signing schedule:
Friday, 4-5 pm
Saturday, 11-12 am
Sunday, 12-1 pm
While I'm the only one who will be "officially" signing, several other anthology contributors will be at the convention, and you can probably find them and get them to sign your copies too.
I hope to see you all there!

The Intercorstal by Gareth A Hopkins
Receiving transmission...
"Gareth A Hopkins' "The Intercorstal" (previously featured back in November) has entered a sort of Beta Stage, and Gareth is looking for feedback from the community. When the project was started, he gave himself an arbitrary 96-page target, and to celebrate reaching the completion of the first thrid, finished pages have been compiled into an A5 minicomic, which is avialable for free from the artist (he'll pay postage, too). Just email him at gareth@grthink.com with a postal address and he'll make sure you get a copy."

Spill minicomic
I just posted an abstract minicomic to my site. It's downloadable as a pdf, and you can print it out and put it together yourself.
The images are abstract, though based on reality.

ABCOLAB #2 REMIX #1 by Rob:
"The Last Time You Saw Nessie" by Emmanuel:
"Out of the mist Nessie pulled out his head from the icy waters. Someone was watching.
He felt spotted (both meanings). He was furious, but he knew that as a legend
his story had still to be printed in the news and he could dissappear (abstract himself)."
[THIS SPACE RESERVED FOR ABCOLAB #2 REMIX #4]
Thanks again to everyone who built this comic!

The Chase: Page 4
As I was making this page, I liked how it looked when I had finished inking just the letters, so I scanned it as it was. I may still decide to put a few pages like this in the final version, or maybe I'll make a second book with just pages like this.
